I've just been asked to "Please also state UK Athletics affiliated Running Club membership registration No." when entering a race. That's the first time I've seen this and I've got no idea what ours is. Can anyone help?
I was looking at the Cabbage Patch entry on line and the UKA Reg No is being requested in order to get the £2discount
The race information says : From 1st April 2008 the England Athletics registration scheme for runners will be fully implemented. This replaces the previous unattached levy and will entitle registered runners to a discounted race entry fee. If you are a registered runner please select the appropriate tariff to enter this event.
The following Option is Required : 'Competition licence registration number'.
I think some clubs seem to be getting ahead of themselves with asking for this. The only people to have been given a regisration card with a number is myself as Club Secretary and Paul Cannon as Membership secretary. At some point we will be asked to submit the details of club members to England Athletics, and then you will be sent your own registration card. This stays with you even if you move and go to another club. I was only sent my registration on 31/10/07 and have not heard anymore since. I will keep you updated as soon as I have any info to give. - Linda
This is a fairly new thing, I understand, and we probably haven't got a number yet. What race is this for? I saw comments about this on Fetcheveryone (and I know you're registered on there) and it was suggested that most people have not got registration numbers yet.
I think the race in question was Abingdon marathon and one of the organisers said on the thread on Fetcheveryone that you do not need to enter the number, as you probably will not have one.
UK Athletics Registration Number
I entered the cabbage patch a little while back and entered N/A in the registration number box, it was accepted and the discount was given.
I know that the reg numbers will be issued soon but in the meantime try the N/A route and see what happens.

What number should I enter as a BFR member?
