Viginia Water Free Time Trials???

I heard from someone at work that on the last Thursday of every month there is a free 5 mile handicap time trial - does anyone know about it? Who runs it, where and what time is it held etc??? The only thing I heard about it was that it had a killer climb at the finish - sounds like my kind of course!!

Club 5k

Thanks for the reminder Al. I am doing Ironman Austria on Sunday so depending on whether I can walk or not, I'll be there!!

Mike I hope we'll be seeing you at the club 5k on Wednesday 16 July. It's not quite a handicap but will test everyone's ability to accurately forecast a time over a course of around 5k. Meet at the Lookout at 6.45PM.

Someone to chase

Cheers for that. I always like a handicap race (as long as it is organised properly) as there is always someone to chase. Maybe we could do something informal in 2009? I'll bring it up at the next AGM.

Free Time Trials

Runnymede Runners hold their monthly handicap from Saville Gardens car park on the last Thursday of the month at 7pm. I thought it was for their members only but I could be wrong.

However there is a whole series of free weekly 5k time trials at

There is also a monthly one in Stoke Park in Guildford at

Also there is a free 3M monthly handicap in Woking at
http://www.villamiller.demon.co.uk/

Also I know that a lot of the other Thames Valley clubs run in the TVAC Summer series 5k but unfortunately we don't.
